Vietnam women's team leads Southeast Asia on FIFA rankings

On the FIFA rankings that were just updated in March 2025, the Vietnam women's team still holds the leading position in Southeast Asia and ranks 6th in Asia.

With 1,614.43 points, the Vietnam women's team maintains their 37th place in the world, without any changes in rankings and scores.

Meanwhile, Thailand dropped 2 places to 47th place after consecutive losses at Pink Ladies Cup 2025.

Indonesia has made an impressive breakthrough, increasing 3 places to rise to 94th place in the world.

Singapore dropped slightly 1 place to 130m, while Laos made progress when they increased 1 place to 107.

Other teams in the region such as the Philippines (41), Myanmar (55), Malaysia (102), Cambodia (118) and Timor Leste (159) kept their rankings unchanged.

In the Asian region, Japan became a prominent bright spot when increasing by 3 places, entering the top 5 in the world with 25.52 additional points, continuing to consolidate its leading position in the region. The remaining positions in the top 5 in Asia belong to the DPRK (9), Australia (16), China (17) and South Korea (19).

The FIFA rankings for women's teams recorded a record of 196 teams. Notably, Djibouti made his first appearance, starting at 195.

The US team still holds the top spot despite just suffering a 1-2 defeat to Japan in the SheBelieves Cup final.

Following closely behind the US are Spain (2), Germany (3) and Great Britain (2), while Sweden (6), Canada (7) and Brazil (8) have all dropped 1 place.
