On March 12, informing reporters, Mr. Hoang Khanh Duy - Deputy Management Board of Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone - said that in the first 2 months of 2025, import-export activities through border gates, specialized roads, and customs clearance in Lang Son province continued to remain stable and smooth.
Accordingly, the trade rhythm has become more vibrant, especially at Huu Nghi international border gates, the specialized route for goods transportation in the area of landmark 1088-1089 (Tan Thanh - Po Chai), where customs clearance efficiency is always high and there is a positive growth trend.
This excitement is especially evident in January when commercial demand increases to prepare for the Lunar New Year.

According to statistics, the total number of import-export goods vehicles passing through border gates, specialized roads, and customs clearance routes in the province in the first two months of the year reached 69,908 vehicles, an increase of 14.4% over the same period in 2024. Of which, exports reached 15,391 vehicles, down 33.5%; imports reached 54,517 vehicles, up 43%.
The average clearance efficiency reached 1,270 vehicles/day, with peak days reaching more than 1,600 vehicles. Of which, the average number of exported vehicles reached 280-300 vehicles/day, mainly agricultural products and fruits; imported vehicles reached about 950-1,000 vehicles/day.
Total import-export turnover reached nearly 12 billion USD, up 21% over the same period in 2024.

Speaking with reporters, Mr. Doan Thanh Son - Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee - said: "Although import-export activities in Lang Son are showing signs of improvement, there is still a gap between customs clearance points and between the two export and import directions".
Explaining the reason, the leader said that although Vietnamese durian has been "unfairly rewarded", the amount of exported products has not yet met expectations. Along with that, at this time, the export of fruit products is not diverse. Therefore, the import-export balance is still unbalanced.
"With the improvements from the beginning of the year, we expect the import-export sector to have many breakthroughs" - Mr. Son said.
Information from the Lang Son Provincial Customs Department (now the Customs Branch of Region VI) said that in 2024, import-export turnover through border gates in Lang Son reached a record level.
Accordingly, as of December 31, 2024, the total import-export turnover through the province of all types reached approximately 70 billion USD, an increase of 30% over the same period in 2023.
Regarding state budget collection, in 2024, over VND 7,000 billion was collected, reaching 142% of the assigned target and increasing by 148.4% over the same period in 2023.
