Two important victories on the afternoon of December 11 brought an exciting atmosphere to Vietnamese football at the 33rd SEA Games.
In Group B of women's football, the Vietnamese team defeated Myanmar 2-0 thanks to goals from Van Su and Bich Thuy, thereby winning the top spot in the group and advancing straight to the semi-finals.

As soon as the match ended, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan went directly to the stadium to congratulate the team, and at the same time, on behalf of the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Federation, awarded 700 million VND to recognize the efforts to overcome difficulties.
VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan also reminded the whole team to maintain the highest concentration for the upcoming semi-final.
In Group B of men's football, U22 Vietnam also had a full day of competition when they defeated Malaysia 2-0, with goals from Minh Phuc and Hieu Minh. This victory helped coach Kim Sang-sik and his team win the top spot and enter the top 4 strongest teams.

Immediately after the match, VFF Vice President and captain of the U22 Vietnam team - Mr. Tran Anh Tu, praised the spirit of the entire team and announced a reward of 600 million VND to encourage them before the decisive stage.
