Immediately after the incident, to maintain power supply and operate the power system safely, An Giang Electricity urgently implemented a priority power supply plan from the 110/22kV Nam Phu Quoc Station through the 22kV medium voltage grid to priority customer groups; mobilized large customers with self-operating generators to supply electricity to take advantage of the remaining capacity to serve customers...
Southern Power Corporation has also mobilized 20 mobile diesel generators of member Power Companies, with a total capacity of 3.5MW transported to Phu Quoc to increase power supply.
The Electricity industry has mobilized maximum human and material resources, increased overtime to urgently fix underground cable incidents. At around 11pm on December 5, the 110kV overhead line was successfully energized, fixing the problem of the 110kV Ha Tien - Phu Quoc underground cable. Thereby, the power supply to all customers in Phu Quoc special area has been restored at night.
