On the evening of March 25, the U22 Vietnam team drew 1-1 with U22 China in the 2025 CFA Team China international friendly tournament. This result put coach Dinh Hong Vinh and his team in third place overall.
The championship belongs to U22 China. U22 Korea won the runner-up position, while U22 Uzbekistan ranked last. Notably, goalkeeper Cao Van Binh of the U22 Vietnam team won the title of "Best Goalkeeper" of the tournament.
Evaluating the results of the final match, coach Dinh Hong Vinh said: "Today, U22 Vietnam had a good match against U22 China. We proactively deploy playing style, organize defense tightly and perform well in situations of state change.
The players followed the tactics, kept a reasonable formation distance and created many dangerous opportunities. Overall, we deserved a better result. However, it is important that the players showed progress and learned valuable lessons from this match".
The captain of U22 Vietnam assessed that this tournament helps young players accumulate more international competition experience, especially in dealing with opponents with different physiques and playing styles.

"The players have improved their game control, maintained their concentration and improved the coordination in the tactical system.
These experiences will be very important in the preparation for the upcoming U23 Asian qualifiers and the SEA Games. In general, this competition trip is a rewarding experience for U22 Vietnam.
We have the opportunity to test the squad, evaluate the players' abilities and practice tactics in real competition conditions. The players showed progress through each match, especially in today's match, when they showed confidence and controlled the game well.
This will be an important premise for the whole team to continue to develop and aim for the big goals ahead", coach Dinh Hong Vinh emphasized.
