The Vietnam women's team defeated their opponents Thailand and Taiwan (China) in the play-off round to get their first ticket to the 2023 World Cup.
According to the plan, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will return home by private plane on February 10. The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) will host the team at Noi Bai airport.
Currently, VFF is also planning to organize a celebration for the Vietnam women's team after returning home. Accordingly, the organizing committee will calculate the organization to ensure solemnity and safety in epidemic prevention and control. After discussion and agreement, VFF will make an official announcement in the near future.
In addition, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will also have a meeting and commend the achievements of the Vietnam women's team right after returning home.
At the end of the long training and competition, the Vietnam women's team will have about 1 month to go home to rest and visit their families.
The whole team will gather again in March in Hanoi to continue preparing for another important task, which is to defend the gold medal at the 31st SEA Games.
