Beetroot juice, cucumber and carrots
Beetroot has the ability to purify the liver and improve blood circulation. When combined with cucumber - a fruit that contains a lot of water and electrolytes along with carrots rich in beta-carotene and fiber, this tripe helps clean the liver, gallbladder and supports the process of removing small stones through the digestive system.
Dr. Laura Palmer, a nutritionist at the Institute of Gastroenterology and Gastroenterology (USA), said: Sugar beets contain betaine, a compound that helps the liver increase bile production and improve detoxification function. When combined with foods rich in antioxidants such as carrots and cucumbers, they help stabilize bile secretion density and reduce the risk of crystallization to form stones.
How to make:
1/2 beetroot, 1/2 cucumber, 1 carrot, squeeze the juice.
Drink in the morning, about 30 minutes before eating, 2-3 times/week.
Warm lemon water (or olive oil): stimulates bile secretion, softens stones
Warm lemon water has long been used in traditional and modern medicine to kick- start the digestive system. Citric acid in lemons not only helps purify but also has the ability to inhibit the crystallization of cholesterol, the main cause of gallstones.
According to the British liver Association ( British British British liver Trust): Drinking warm lemon water on an empty stomach can stimulate regular mat secretion, helping to avoid the phenomenon of gallstones stagnation, which is a favorable factor for stone development. Combining with olive oil helps create a natural bile appreciation effect, sometimes helping to push away small stones.
How to use:
Mix the juice of 1/2 lemon into 200ml of warm water.
You can add 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil if there is no anti-stomach indication.
Use early in the morning on an empty stomach, 5 days/week.
Warning: Not suitable for people with severe stomach ulcers or reflux.
Turmeric tea: Anti-inflammatory, stimulates bile secretion
Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric that has been scientifically proven to have strong anti-inflammatory effects, support liver detoxification and increase bile secretion. This is one of the important factors to prevent the formation of gallstones.
Prof. Dr. Bharat Aggarwal, a functional foods researcher at the MD Anderson Cancer Center (USA), shared in a research work published in Phytotherapy Research: Curcumin in turmeric helps increase bile secretion by up to 62%, improves the flow of bile secretion and reduces cholesterol saturatation in honey - thereby reducing the risk of stone formation.
How to use:
Mix 1 teaspoon of pure turmeric powder or 1 teaspoon of fresh turmeric water into a glass of warm water (200ml).
You can add honey to make it easier to drink.
Drink after lunch or dinner, 1-2 times a day.
Note:
Although the above drinks provide many health benefits and support gallstone control, they cannot replace medical treatment in cases of large stones, causing pain or complications.
Dr. Nancy Reau, Head of the Department of Nephrology - University of rush (USA), recommends: "A healthy diet combined with herbs or natural drinks can be good for people at high risk, but when the stone is large or causes yellow blockage, severe pain... patients need to be treated with medicine or timely surgery".
