In the handbag and garment manufacturing industry with complex machinery characteristics, the issue of labor safety (ST) is always put first. For Mr. Le Hoan Giang, protecting workers (NLĐ) is not just about gloves or masks. He believes that a modern working environment, minimizing hazards, is the most sustainable value that the Trade Union needs to negotiate with business owners.
To realize that, Mr. Giang and the Executive Committee (EC) of the Trade Union have established a multi-channel dialogue mechanism. Not only is it an annual employee conference, he also thoroughly utilizes suggestion boxes and direct listening sessions at the workshop. Mr. Giang shared: "We do not sit and wait for employees to reflect. The Trade Union proactively seeks out "hot spots" of noise, dust or safety risks... to promptly contact relevant departments to proceed to overcome the above things, as well as negotiate with the Board of Directors if necessary.
Therefore, the company not only equips standard protection but also invests heavily in periodic environmental measurement systems, upgrades factory infrastructure to reduce emissions and noise. This trade union official also successfully negotiated benefits such as increasing the unit price of meals from 18,000 VND to 20,000 VND, supplementing gasoline allowances of 100,000 VND/month and maintaining employee shuttle buses, and other welfare regimes for employees.
Unleashing creativity from timely "hot bonus" policies
Not only stopping at protecting, Mr. Le Hoan Giang also coordinated with the professional department to "ignite the fire" for the creative labor movement at Sedo Vinako. In the period 2023 - 2025, when businesses promoted the modernization of machinery, Mr. Giang and the professional department skillfully negotiated to build an extremely practical initiative reward (Kaizen) regulation, turning technical improvement into a close right of each worker.

The unique point in the policy built by Sedo Vinako Trade Union is absolute encouragement. Every proposed idea, no matter how effective, is immediately "hotly rewarded" by the Trade Union with 100,000 VND. With prestigious prizes up to 1,000,000 VND and annual prizes up to 2,500,000 VND with certificates of merit, the Kaizen movement has exploded strongly. Workers are no longer hesitant but boldly offer ideas to improve processes, save materials and improve productivity.
We negotiate so that the company not only rewards money but also supports the cost of materials and machinery for the brothers to pilot. Everything must be public and transparent on the bulletin board and internal application" - Mr. Giang affirmed. Thanks to that, each year the initiatives have profited the company hundreds of millions of VND.
In particular, Mr. Giang's mark is also associated with working with the Executive Committee of the Trade Union to build a modern worker library with more than 5,000 books - a humane "moment of silence" to help workers relax after stressful working hours. With outstanding achievements and activities to care for workers, Mr. Le Hoan Giang not only received a certificate of merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor but also gained the full trust of more than 5,000 union members.
