On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), the Vietnam Trade and Industry Union organized a journey to the origin program in Tuyen Quang province with many meaningful activities to commemorate and express gratitude to heroic martyrs, and at the same time educate patriotism and revolutionary traditions for trade union officials.
The delegation's first stop was Vi Xuyen National Martyrs' Cemetery. In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the delegation organized a ceremony to offer incense and flowers, and observe a minute of silence to commemorate the great contributions of heroic martyrs who dedicated their youth and lives for the sacred independence and sovereignty of the Fatherland.
After the incense offering ceremony at Vi Xuyen National Martyrs' Cemetery, the working delegation went to the Temple of Heroic Martyrs of the Vi Xuyen Front (468m high).
Before the spirits of heroic martyrs, the delegates of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union expressed their deep gratitude for the noble sacrifice of previous generations; and vowed to continue to promote the tradition of patriotism, solidarity, responsibility, constantly innovate the content and methods of trade union activities, better care for and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers, contributing to building the Industry and Trade sector and the country to develop more and more.
Continuing the journey to the source, the delegation came to offer incense at the historical relic site of Vietnam's Industry and Trade sector - a place marking the formation, development and important contributions of the Industry and Trade sector in the cause of national liberation struggle as well as the cause of building and developing the country.
Here, delegates reviewed the glorious traditions of the industry through the periods, affirming their determination to continue to promote the achievements, build the Vietnam Trade Union organization to become increasingly strong, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period.
During the program, the delegation also came to offer incense and visit the Tan Trao Special National Relic Site - "Capital of the Liberation Zone".
At relic sites such as Dinh Tan Trao, Cay Da Tan Trao, Lan Na Nua..., the delegation was introduced to the heroic historical milestones of the nation, thereby further understanding and being proud of the glorious revolutionary tradition of the Party, of the nation and the will and aspiration for independence and freedom of previous generations.
In addition, the working delegation expressed deep gratitude for the silent but humane efforts of the Management Board of Cemeteries and Historical Relic Sites. The delegation presented gifts and financial support to encourage the spirit and share some of the difficulties with the team who are on duty day and night taking care of this sacred resting place.
The Journey to the Source is a political and traditional education activity of practical significance of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union, contributing to fostering revolutionary ideals, raising awareness and responsibility of trade union officials towards the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
At the same time, this is also an opportunity for each trade union official to continue to promote the tradition of "When drinking water, remember the source", "Gratitude", spreading good values, fostering the spirit of dedication, responsibility and aspiration to develop for union members, workers and the sustainable development of the Vietnam Industry and Trade sector" - Comrade Le An Hai, Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Chairman of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union shared.
