In 2025, the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade selected a team with the core being the team of Vietnam Steel Corporation - JSC representing to participate in the Northern qualifying round.
Accordingly, the Northern qualifying round will be held at Hanoi University of Science and Technology from September 26 to 28 with the participation of 16 football teams (including: Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor, Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade, Hai Phong City Federation of Labor, Vietnam Banking Federation, Dien Bien Provincial Federation of Labor, Vietnam Health Federation, Hung Yen Provincial Federation of Labor, Bac Ninh 1 Provincial Federation of Labor, Bac Ninh 2 Provincial Federation of Labor, Hanoi City Federation of Labor, People's Public Security Federation, Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union, Phu Tho Provincial Federation of Labor, State Bank, Agribank, VPBank).
The Southern qualifying round took place at Ton Duc Thang University (HCMC) from October 9 to 12, gathering 24 teams.
The tournament will take place in two qualifying rounds in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi instead of many qualifying rounds like two years ago. Therefore, the level of competition will be even fiercer for the ticket to the final round.
After the end of the qualifying round of 2 regions, the organizing committee will select the 16 best teams to compete in the final round in Ho Chi Minh City from October 24-26.
Mr. Le An Hai - Chairman of the Vietnam Trade Union said that the football tournament is an opportunity for union members and workers to share experiences and careers, create beauty in sports, and spread the spirit of health training in the unit where the players participate.
Currently, the Vietnam Trade Union Football Team has gathered and conducted training in Thai Nguyen. The Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade and agencies, units, companies, and grassroots trade unions all support and create adequate conditions in terms of materials and regimes.
Including material conditions, arranging appropriate working hours so that players have time to practice tactical techniques and integrate in the team. After the draw results, the team will carefully research the opponents to have the most suitable strategy.
In order to encourage the spirit and assign tasks to the team, Mr. Le An Hai - Chairman of the Vietnam Trade Union attended a meeting, thoroughly grasped and encouraged the Vietnam Trade Union Football Team to participate in the football tournament. At the same time, Mr. Le An Hai promptly encouraged the whole team to make more efforts, be active in training and participating in the tournament with a noble, beautiful and united fair-play spirit to achieve high results.
