Responding to the "Thanks and Rewards" Peak Month in 2025, on July 30, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Trade Union visited and presented gifts to express gratitude to the heroic martyrs' families working at Phu Lam Industrial - Trade - Investment Joint Stock Company (Phu Lam Company). This is one of 9 grassroots units selected by the Vietnam Trade Union for this meaningful activity.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le An Hai, Chairman of the Vietnam Trade Union, affirmed that the activity of gratitude to the martyrs' families is an opportunity for the trade union organization to demonstrate its responsibility and morality of "Remembering the source of drinking water", while spreading profound human values throughout the industry trade union system.
Mr. Le An Hai emphasized: The great sacrifices of the heroic martyrs are the foundation for peace, independence and development of the country today. Therefore, showing gratitude to policy families and meritorious people is not only a political obligation, but also an order from the heart of each union cadre.
Representing the unit, Mr. Vo Chi Thien, Deputy Director of Phu Lam Company expressed his appreciation and emotion at the noble gesture of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Trade Union.
According to Mr. Vo Chi Thien, this is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the sincere and timely concern of the trade union organization for workers, especially those whose relatives have sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.
The support of trade union organizations at all levels is one of the important factors helping businesses create a humane working environment, spreading the spirit of solidarity and affection internally. In the coming time, Phu Lam Company will continue to closely coordinate with grassroots trade unions and the Industry and Trade sector to better care for the material and spiritual life of workers, especially the disadvantaged. Thereby, contributing to building a strong, responsible and humane workforce" - Mr. Vo Chi Thien affirmed.
Representing the workers who are relatives of the martyrs' families who received the gratitude gifts, Ms. Vo Thi Thu Ha (Gia Phu Shoe Factory - Phu Lam Company) emotionally shared: Today, receiving the attention from the Vietnam Trade Union, I feel very warm. The gift is not large in material things but contains affection and respectful recognition. This is a valuable source of encouragement for me to be more attached and make efforts in my daily work.
It is known that the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade has spent more than 41.5 million VND to show gratitude to 83 policy beneficiaries at affiliated grassroots trade unions, with a maximum support level of 500,000 VND/meal. This is an annual, profoundly humane activity, contributing to promoting the tradition of " use of gratitude and response", demonstrating the social responsibility of the trade union organization.
