Accordingly, the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union coordinates with the Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group to organize the 7th industry-level skilled worker contest - 2026, in the field of sewing and knitwear at Hue Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company.
The contest has the participation of 13 teams from 13 units producing knitted goods in the system. Contestants of the teams are people who achieve excellent results at the Unit-level Skilled Worker Contest or are selected from individuals with high skills and productivity in production.
The contest content is innovated, closely following the practical requirements of production in the current context such as rapid transformation, small orders, diverse designs, and complex techniques. Instead of 1 product as before, at this contest, contestants must complete 2 products including polo shirts (3 pieces) and sports shorts (3 pieces) in 25 minutes.
In particular, this year's contest also has the contest content "Green Textile - Sustainable Development" - this is a new content of the 7th contest. In this content, there are 8 booths of contest teams. The contest content aims to encourage workers to promote their skills and creativity in reusing and recycling raw and auxiliary materials, scrap, contributing to reducing waste and promoting the circular economy in the textile and garment industry.
The Organizing Committee awarded many prizes at the Contest, including in the content of tailoring men's polo shirts and sports shorts with the Golden Hand, Silver Hand, Bronze Hand awards; industry-level skilled workers; the earliest finisher award; the most compact and effective transmission line design award.
