On the afternoon of November 1, Mr. Trinh Tuan Son - Chairman of the Trade Union of the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) visited and encouraged workers participating in overcoming the damage caused by storm No. 6 (Tra Mi) at Hai Van Pass, under the management of Power Transmission Company 2 (PTC2).
In recent days, due to the direct impact of storm and storm circulation No. 6, widespread flooding has occurred, greatly affecting the safe operation of the power transmission grid as well as the work and daily life of staff and workers.
With the highest spirit and responsibility, PTC2's disaster prevention and search and rescue (PCTT&TKCN) work was carefully prepared. Immediately after the storm passed, PTC2 staff and workers quickly overcame the effects of the storm and soon put PTC2's power grid system into safe operation.
At the visit, Mr. Trinh Tuan Son - Chairman of EVNNPT Trade Union praised the spirit of PTC2 staff and workers who actively carried out PCTT & TKCN work, and shared with the families of workers whose houses were deeply submerged in the flood.
From now until the end of the year, it is forecasted that floods will continue to be complicated, so Mr. Trinh Tuan Son requested that PTC2 officers and workers proactively carry out PCTT & TKCN work, ensuring safety while performing their duties.
In order to promptly encourage the spirit of overcoming difficulties of PTC2 workers during the storm and flood season in the Central region, the delegation presented gifts and encouraged PTC2 Trade Union workers with an amount of 70 million VND.
Currently in Quang Binh, Quang Tri and many other localities, many families of workers of PTC2 units are deeply flooded, but officers and workers are still focusing on performing assigned tasks with the unit.
The attention and encouragement of the EVNNPT and PTC2 Trade Unions is an encouragement for workers to have more motivation to complete their assigned tasks well, especially in the current context of floods.
