On October 29, Mr. Do Duc Hung - Chairman of Vietnam Electricity Trade Union said that the subjects of care during Tet are all union members and workers, with priority given to union members and workers in especially difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses, and those affected by natural disasters, storms and floods; union members and workers from policy families, ethnic minorities; union members and workers who stay at their units and enterprises to work, produce, and do business during Tet.
According to the leader of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, the activity to care for the Lunar New Year for employees and workers in the electricity industry has the theme "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Doan Ket". The theme shows the spirit of solidarity, sharing and caring for employees and workers during the Lunar New Year.
In particular, "Tet Sum vay" emphasizes the meaning of reunion, creating opportunities for workers to celebrate Tet happily and safely."Spring Solidarity" affirms the solidarity between trade unions and enterprises to join hands to build harmonious, stable and sustainable labor relations, creating a warm and hopeful Tet atmosphere.
According to the plan of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, trade unions at all levels in the industry will coordinate with professionals to organize activities to care for and encourage workers and employees to maintain production, ensure safe and continuous electricity supply, and avoid subjective incidents to serve production and people's daily needs during the 2025 Lunar New Year.
Propaganda, remind and mobilize employees to strictly comply with labor regulations, labor discipline, and Traffic Law when participating in traffic; do not engage in superstitious behaviors, do not participate in backward customs, social evils, firecrackers, and gambling.
Coordinate with the professional team to organize Tet At Ty - 2025 thoughtfully, economically and healthily; organize cultural and sports activities to celebrate the Party - celebrate Spring At Ty 2025 at suitable and economical units.
Organize activities to care for and support employees with serious illnesses and long-term treatment; families in difficult circumstances: relatives with long-term illnesses, unemployment, unstable income; natural disasters, fires; employees with work-related accidents, reduced labor capacity, etc.
Regarding the level of support, affiliated unions balance their regular revenue and expenditure during the year and use union financial resources to take care of workers in difficult circumstances according to the allocated number and support level as follows: The number does not exceed 10% of the total number of union members of the unit directly managed; the support level is 500,000 VND/person, paid in cash.
For units that balance their own revenue and expenditure and pay their obligations to the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, based on the approved regular revenue and expenditure estimates, the unit decides on a higher expenditure level, but not exceeding VND 1,000,000/person (of which, cash is not more than VND 700,000 and in-kind is not more than VND 300,000)...
