
On May 19, a working delegation of Vietnam Railways Corporation and Vietnam Railway Trade Union led by Mr. Dang Sy Manh - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Member Council of Vietnam Railways Corporation - inspected, visited, and encouraged workers on the Vinh - Dong Hoi railway line.
The program is part of a series of activities: Workers' Month, Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health, and Action Month for Children in 2026 of the railway industry.
Accordingly, the working delegation visited and inspected working and living conditions at many points along the route, including Phuong Mo Road; Thanh Luyen, Phuc Trach, Tan Ap, Dong Chuoi, Kim Lu, Dong Le, Minh Le, Tho Loc, Le Son stations; and Khe Net Road.

At the destinations, Mr. Dang Sy Manh and the working delegation visited the lives, working conditions, and living conditions of workers and laborers who are directly on duty at stations, roads, locomotive stations, signal information teams, and carriage inspection stations.
Mr. Dang Sy Manh acknowledged and praised the sense of responsibility of the team of workers and laborers on the route, especially the force that regularly works in harsh weather conditions, remote areas, and tasks that require high discipline and accuracy.
In addition to visiting and encouraging, leaders of Vietnam Railways Corporation also reminded units and employees to continue to improve professional capacity, maintain labor discipline, proactively innovate and create in work, contributing to improving service quality and ensuring absolute safety during train operation.

On this occasion, the railway industry spent nearly 1 billion VND to visit, give gifts, support workers and improve working and living conditions at units on the Vinh - Dong Hoi route.
In which, Mr. Nguyen Van Dat - a maintenance worker on Phuong Mo Road was supported with 70 million VND to build a house. His family currently does not have a stable house, his wife has no job, two young children, and life is still difficult.
At Tan Ap Road Bridge, worker Dinh Nhu Thai was also supported with 70 million VND to build a house. His family has 3 young children of school age, the old house is degraded, collapsed in 2025, and is currently living with relatives.

In addition, the working delegation visited the family of worker Le Dinh Hung, a road patrolman of Saigon Railway Joint Stock Company, who died in a labor accident in May 2026. The family was supported with 20 million VND from the Vietnam Railway Social Fund and 5 million VND from the funds of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union.
The Vietnam Railway Trade Union also provided support of 70 million VND to Ms. Phan Thi Thuong - a level crossing guard at Dong Le Bridge. Her family is in difficult circumstances, her house is degraded, leaks in the rainy season, the house frame is termite-ridden, and there is a risk of unsafety.
Some other workers in difficult circumstances were also granted allowances, such as Mr. Doan Duc Manh, Mr. Nguyen Van Hai, Mr. Le Anh Tuan, Mr. Hoang Nam Giang and Mr. Le Xuan Truong.
Along with visiting and giving gifts, the program also supports the repair of toilets at Phuc Trach Wagon Inspection Station, Hue Wagon Inspection Station and Kim Lu station; equips some household appliances such as water heaters, TVs, refrigerators for units on the route.
