Mr. Ha Trong Thang - Chairman of the Vietnam Railways Trade Union (VNR) said that closely following the theme of activities in 2025, which is "Focusing on developing union members; participating in building a clean and strong Party", VNR trade unions at all levels have focused on implementing Resolution XVI of the VNR Trade Union Congress, XIII of the Vietnam Trade Union Congress, resolutions of the VGCL, of the Party Committee of Vietnam Railways Corporation, organizing activities towards the 96th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union; successfully organizing trade union congresses at all levels and the XVII VNR Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
The Vietnam Railways Trade Union continues to innovate the organization and methods of trade union activities with the motto "towards the grassroots level, for the grassroots level and for workers"; deploying many effective activities, including coordinating with professional departments to take care of material and spiritual life, paying attention to improving working and living conditions for union members and workers, especially workers in difficult circumstances during the Lunar New Year, Workers' Month, OSH Month...
Especially, organizing 212 workers to go to nursing homes in 2 phases in Da Nang and Khanh Hoa; deploying the Peak Month for admitting trade union members. The role of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers is focused on implementation, contributing to building harmonious, stable, and progressive relationships.
According to leaders of the Vietnam Railways Trade Union, the theme of the industry's trade union activities in 2026 is "Promoting innovation, concretizing, and bringing the resolutions of the Party Congress and the Trade Union into life".
To implement the theme, the Vietnam Railways Trade Union sets out 9 main tasks.
In which, focus on building an action program, organizing the thorough dissemination and implementation of the Resolution of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, the 17th Congress of the Vietnam Railways Trade Union; propagating, disseminating, thoroughly grasping, and implementing the Charter, Guiding the implementation of the Charter of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union, especially new points to trade union levels...
Promote propaganda work to celebrate major holidays of the country and the Industry, including: Commemorating the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day May 1st; Workers' Month, Labor Safety and Health Month; 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Railways Trade Union; 80th anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnam Railways industry, 145th anniversary of the Vietnam Railways.
Closely following Joint Plan No. 3682/LT-DS dated November 15, 2024 of the General Director, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union, the Standing Committee of the Youth Union of Vietnam Railways Corporation to deploy and organize emulation movements to celebrate major holidays and important events of the country, the Railway Industry and trade union organization.
Coordinate with professional departments to build and amend the salary scale system of officials, civil servants, public employees and laborers according to new legal regulations, and at the same time to improve income and living standards, creating strong labor attraction in the coming period.
Strengthen professional coordination to organize exchange activities on expertise and nghiep vu among union members and workers, training and retraining, especially training content, preparing human resources for high-speed railways. Proactively propose and introduce to the Party the source of cadres from outstanding and excellent trade union members.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Railways Trade Union summarized the emulation and commendation work in 2025; awarded flags and certificates of merit to typical collectives and individuals, and launched the emulation movement in 2026 with the determination to achieve achievements to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress, the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress and major events of the railway industry.
It is known that the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union has decided to reward 140 collectives and 278 individuals with outstanding achievements in the CNVCLD movement and the activities of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union in 2026. The total amount for reward is more than 326 million VND.
