On May 5, in Hanoi, Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) and VNR Trade Union jointly organized the Launching Ceremony of Workers' Month, Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health 2026 - Program to improve working and living conditions for workers. The launching ceremony was held in the form of live and online at 9 locations.
Attending the ceremony was Mr. Dang Sy Manh - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Member Council of Vietnam Railways Corporation.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ha Trong Thang - Chairman of the Vietnam Railways Trade Union said that Vietnam Railways Corporation and the Vietnam Railways Trade Union launched the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health 2026 with the theme "Innovating management and improving the efficiency of occupational safety and health in the digital age". Workers' Month 2026 with the theme "Innovation and innovation, improving labor productivity".
Implementing Workers' Month, Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026, Vietnam Railways Trade Unions at all levels coordinate with professional departments to thoroughly resolve outstanding and urgent recommendations and issues of workers (NLĐ) in units and enterprises; care for and improve working and living conditions, increase income for NLĐ; prioritize points in remote areas, mountainous areas, areas with difficulties in domestic water; select to implement a number of projects to serve NLĐ.
Organize dialogue conferences between Party leaders, professional departments and employees; forum "Union members contribute opinions on building the Vietnam Railways industry and trade union organizations in the new era". Develop union members, introduce outstanding trade union members for the Party to consider fostering and admitting in the peak month, May 2026 and the whole year 2026.
With the motto: "Recognizing risks - Preventing early - Handling promptly - Determined not to repeat"; identifying safety as the top priority, central, and consistent task in all production and business activities, in implementing the double-digit growth target of Vietnam Railways Corporation and units... Trade unions and professional departments at all levels raise awareness and responsibility in implementing solutions to ensure railway traffic order and safety.
Focus resources, care, invest in facilities, equipment and build a friendly working environment, "Green - Clean - Beautiful", meeting the criteria in the "Regular - Cultural - Safe" movement.
Striving basically in 2026 and by the end of 2027, to ensure 100% of workplaces of employees, dormitories, official residences, and shared toilets for union members and employees to ensure clean, neat, and tidy hygiene; fully meet practical use needs, ensure the health and spirit of employees and the image of the Railway industry to customers and people.
Innovate information and communication activities on OSH to be practical, easy to understand, easy to apply, suitable for each work position of employees, specific industries of the unit; apply technology in propaganda work; promote the use of digital platforms, internal networks, online information groups for quick and effective propaganda; build visual content (infographics, short videos) suitable for employees.
Based on reality, the units registered and implemented 80 new projects, products, and services; 80 km of "Railway - Flower Road". Promoting emulation movements, focusing on the movement of innovation and creativity, improving labor productivity, improving professional qualifications and skills; Reviewing theory - Practicing skills - Competing as skilled workers.
Strive to complete the construction and repair of 80 houses for workers in difficult circumstances according to Plan No. 46-KH/DU dated August 14, 2024 of the Party Committee of Vietnam Railways Corporation.
At the ceremony, leaders of Vietnam Railways Corporation and Vietnam Railways Trade Union presented support for building houses of gratitude for workers.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dang Sy Manh - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Member Council of Vietnam Railways Corporation acknowledged and highly appreciated the Vietnam Railways Trade Union for always being close, caring for and taking care of workers. At the same time, he proposed that with the motto "Harmony of relations - Protection and care - Warm and prosperous labor - Railway development", Trade Unions at all levels continue to promote and do a good job of caring for workers, so that every month is Workers' Month, especially promoting the movement "Regularity - Culture - Safety" in substance, avoiding formality.
