The Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines has issued Guidelines for implementing the program "Promoting lifelong learning activities among workers at enterprises to 2030" for the period 2026-2030 (program) at all levels of trade unions.
According to Mr. Mai Le Loi - Chairman of the Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines, trade union levels in the industry will promote program propaganda among union members and workers (NLĐ) working at enterprises with grassroots trade unions directly under the Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines; strengthen the responsibility of trade union levels in propaganda, mobilization, and support for workers at enterprises to form self-study habits, actively study to improve their qualifications, skills, legal understanding, life skills, and strive to achieve the title "Learning Citizen".
The Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines sets a target by 2030:
- On politics and law: Strive to achieve 90% of union members and workers being propagated, disseminated, studied, and thoroughly grasped of the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws related to workers associated with theoretical contents about the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union organization.
Results of completing the goal: Number of union members and workers who are propagated and disseminated the basic contents of labor law, trade union law (other legal contents if there are conditions for propaganda and dissemination), functions and tasks of the working class, Vietnam Trade Union organization.
- Regarding professional skills: Strive to achieve 75% of union members and workers participating in learning to improve their skills and professional skills.
Results of completing the goal: Number of newly recruited union members and workers who are trained in short-term vocational skills by enterprises; workers are propagated and mobilized to participate in forms of knowledge training, tutoring, and improving skills; participate in skills competitions organized by enterprises or competent authorities; be sent by enterprises to study or study on their own at educational and vocational training institutions.
- About life skills: Strive to achieve 75% of union members and workers participating in learning life skills education content.
Results of completing the goal: The number of union members and workers who are disseminated one or more life skills such as: Industrial working style; cultural behavior skills; safe traffic participation skills; self-care skills; skills to prevent and combat social evils; skills to build a happy family, skills to care for, raise, and educate children. Regarding the application of information technology and digital technology: Strive to achieve 65% of union members and workers being disseminated about information technology and digital technology.
- Regarding the learning model: Strive to achieve 50% of union members and employees achieving the title "Learning Citizen" issued by competent authorities.
Results of completing the goal: Number of union members and workers who know how to use the internet to search for information, learn online, find and read propaganda materials of the Trade Union organization posted on the internet platform, social networks, and interact on social networks effectively and safely.
