To concretize digital transformation in Trade Union activities as well as when work shifts strongly to digital platforms, the Vietnam Bank Union has quickly changed operating methods such as faster communication, more flexible training, data management and union member interaction in a new way.
In which, communication work is most clearly shown on the website of the Vietnam Bank Union, recording nearly 100 million visits, with an average of about 1,200 news and articles posted each year; the fanpage has nearly 30,000 followers. This shows that the Trade Union is shifting from a phased propaganda model to a permanent communication model, quickly updated and capable of spreading, especially in a younger working environment along with the habit of receiving short and fast information.
Online competitions continue to be used as a tool to create movements according to the digital method. Typically, the online competition to learn about occupational safety and health attracted nearly 10,000 participants, with a completion rate of 92.23%. With the exploitation of technology and digitization, the Competition has expanded coverage, reduced centralized organization costs, created voluntary participation and recorded results according to data.
The Vietnam Bank Union also developed a comprehensive digital transformation project for the period 2025-2030 and promoted E-learning in professional training.
Notably, the Trade Union organized a training course on AI Application - Enhancing work efficiency with the participation of more than 200 officials, associated with the spirit of Digital Literacy. The message here is not only to learn technology but also to improve the capacity of trade union officials to keep up with the pace of innovation of credit institutions, from drafting, synthesis, communication, to operation management and serving union members.
The orientation for 2026 is to continue to consolidate the representative role in provinces and cities; increase health care, visits, and encouragement; organize appropriate cultural and sports activities to improve the physical and mental health of workers.
It can be seen that the key challenge is still to stick to the grassroots level in the context of increasingly digitized work and increasingly streamlined organization. In which, welfare must be in line with needs, protection of rights must be in accordance with procedures; trade union activities must go in sync with the technology of the industry.
