In 2024, despite many difficulties, with efforts, the Vietnam Agricultural and Rural Development Trade Union at all levels focused on directing and organizing the implementation of trade union activities in the entire industry to be strengthened, flexible, and creative to meet practical situations.
Trade union activities have many new points, effectively implementing the 2024 working theme with many effective activities for jobs, income, and life of union members and workers. Some assigned targets achieved high results, many new contents were implemented, and the quality of grassroots activities changed.
The industry trade unions and trade unions at all levels have focused resources to effectively perform the function of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers, along with activities to care for union members in many practical forms; labor safety and hygiene, fire prevention, and improvement of working conditions and environment for workers have been of interest to all trade unions at all levels and continue to be maintained regularly...
In particular, in 2024, the affiliated trade unions at all levels introduced 270 outstanding trade union members for the Party to consider and train; of which 235 union members were honored to be admitted into the Party's ranks...
In 2025, the Vietnam Agricultural and Rural Development Trade Union sets the task of performing well the function of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers, especially the issue of unpaid wages and social insurance of union members and workers; implementing solutions to "Improve the effectiveness of dialogue and collective bargaining, period 2024-2028" according to the Program of the Executive Committee of the General Confederation of Labor;
Proactively implement solutions to facilitate grassroots trade unions to conduct negotiations and collective bargaining, focusing on wages, bonuses, working hours, rest hours, and occupational safety and hygiene;
Organize inspections and supervision of the implementation of laws on dialogue, collective bargaining, signing and implementation of collective labor agreements, implementing grassroots democracy and emulation and reward work at units and enterprises. Focus resources on taking care of the welfare of union members and workers in the new situation; coordinate with Party committees and authorities to pay attention to stabilizing jobs and ensuring income for workers...
