Gian is often thriving in the summer for the following 3 reasons:
Ideal temperature and humidity
Gian is a cold-blooded insect, which means it is strongly affected by environmental temperatures.
In the summer, high temperatures and humidity increase, creating ideal conditions forts to survive and thrive.
Insect and insect owner Deepak Sharma from the Indian Pests and Pests Control Company said that when the weather heats up, they often come to live in warm and humid areas such as sewers, kitchens, bathrooms, etc.
Enhancing fertility
An important factor that causes cockroaches to increase in the summer is the change in their reproductive cycle. When the temperature and humidity are suitable, the metabolism of cockroaches becomes faster, helping them move and reproduction quickly.
The breeding cycle of cockroaches is shorter in the summer, causing a spike in the number of cockroaches, explains Sharma. This makes it more difficult to control cockroaches".
Easy to find food
In the summer, people tend to eat more and leave leftovers, especially in the kitchen.
Gian really likes places where there is food and water, and they can easily find food sources in gaps or areas that are not thoroughly cleaned.
Sharma recommends: "C needs to check the corners of the kitchen carefully, such as under the sink, behind the refrigerator or areas that are less noticeable, because cockroaches like to take shelter in these places."
Solutions to prevent cockroaches
Mr. Sharma suggested that to minimize the appearance of cockroaches in the home, maintaining a clean environment is necessary.
You should cover the entrances, use natural repellents and set crow traps to control insect intrusion.
At the same time, regularly cleaning wet areas and regular check-ups are effective ways to prevent cockroaches.
Sharing the same view, famous Indian chef Ananya Banerjee, currently working at The Spice Route of The Imperial Hotel in New Delhi, also shared some natural tips to catch cockroaches.
She recommends placing dried bay leaves or spices such as cloves, cinnamon, and neem leaves in the stove because their strong smell can repel cockroaches.
She also suggested mixing neem oil into water and spraying around the room or sprinkling boric acid and sugar mixture into kitchen corners to kill the cockroach.
With reasonable precautions, you can completely control and reduce the situation of domestic cockroaches, especially in the summer.
