1. White rice

A bowl of chewy and fragrant white rice cooked from delicious plain rice, soft and hot rice grains. This is an indispensable dish in every Vietnamese meal.

2. Roasted meat and fried shrimp

A rich plate of roasted meat with an attractive burnt outer layer. You add all the marinated meat and fry it over the oil. You should fry the meat over medium heat and remember to turn both sides evenly when frying to make the meat golden and crispy. Fry the meat for about 30 minutes and you will see the skin crispy and the meat golden evenly on both sides, then you can turn off the heat. Then, wait for the meat to cool down and cut it into small bite-sized pieces.

Roasted shrimp, although simple, is extremely attractive and delicious because of its rich flavor, the aroma of onions and garlic blended with the natural sweetness and crispness of shrimp. This rustic dish is also very interesting to eat hot with white rice or sip with a little beer.

3. Pork shumai with tomato sauce

The red tomato sauce shumai bowl is eye-catching with soft and fragrant meatballs seasoned to taste, briefly steamed to maintain sweetness and then cooked with light, rich sour tomato sauce. When eating, you can clearly feel the fatty and soft taste of the meat blending with the mild taste of tomatoes, creating a familiar but always attractive dish.

4. Boiled water spinach

Accompanied by a bowl of cool vegetable broth, you can add dracontomelon or squeeze a little lemon to increase the slightly sour taste, easy to eat on hot days.

5. Salted eggplant

Indispensable in the Northern meal is a bowl of pickled eggplant mixed with sweet and sour fermented rice. This rustic dish is especially suitable when eaten with boiled water spinach and braised meat.
