To make caramel pudding, housewives need to prepare 165gr brown sugar; 60ml of water; 5gr of Kosher salt; 3 egg yolks; 30gr cornstarch; 720ml of whole milk whole milk; 5ml vanilla essence; 15ml Bourbon or Whiskey (optional).
In a medium-sized bowl, beat the egg yolks and cornstarch until combined. Prepare a pot of brown sugar, water and salt and simmer for about 5 - 6 minutes until the mixture boils and create a smooth caramel broth.
Pour the milk into the caramel mixture and stir well and boil gently. Add about 120ml of hot milk mixture, slowly pour into the egg bowl, stir well to avoid the eggs getting too cooked. Then, pour the egg mixture back into the pot of milk and continue stirring well for 1 minute.
turn off the heat, add vanilla and bourbon and stir well. Divide the pudding into small cups or bowls, let it cool at room temperature, then refrigerate in the closet for at least 4 hours before enjoying.
