Korean cuisine is famous for its diverse dishes made from the main ingredient of chicken.
Accordingly, Korean spicy chicken thighs and honey dishes are one of the dishes that are very popular with Korean people when combining the sweetness of honey, the spicyness of Korean chili (gochujang) and the richness of soy sauce.
Spicy chicken thighs and honey are not only easy to prepare but do not take too much time for housewives for busy first meals on the week.
To make this dish, housewives need to prepare 10 chicken thighs (about 1.2kg); 1 chili; 60ml rice vinegar; 80ml soy sauce; 120ml honey; 5gr garlic powder; 5gr onion powder; 3gr dried chili; 3gr cayenne chili powder (adjusted for each taste); 10gr Korean chili sauce (gochujang) and some other basic spices.
Next, puree the mixture of chili, rice vinegar and soy sauce, pour the mixture into a bowl, add honey, garlic powder, onion powder, dried chili, cayenne and gochujang chili powder and stir well. Put the chicken thighs in a zip bag, then add the above mixture to marinate and refrigerate for more than 2 hours to allow enough to absorb the spices.
Preheat the oven to 200°C, place the marinated chicken on a tray and bake for 25 minutes, then flip the chicken face and continue to bake for another 45 minutes. During the baking process, brush the marinade over the chicken every 15 minutes once so that the chicken is evenly cooked and has an attractive golden brown color.
Once the chicken is cooked, remove from the tray. Add the remaining marinade to a small pot, boil over medium heat for about 3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Present the chicken on a plate to make it beautiful and drizzle with dressing, sprinkle with a little chopped fresh chives to decorate and enjoy.
