The MV "Where My Childhood Comes" directed by Duong Lan Huong has many simple images of childhood, of mother and father, of the ancient village road. With the desire to rekindle those memorable regions, Star Mai Phuong Nga put a lot of effort into this debut music product.
Where My Childhood Comes by musician Vu Ngoc Dam has a rustic, profound and warm folk melody. The MV was released on the occasion of Vietnam Family Day as a tribute from singer Phuong Nga to her family - the beginning of love, the return of all children far from home.
Through each melody and image, the MV is a journey back to memories - a place with the sound of a mother-in-law, a shadow of a father in flood, a childhood spent in the fields by the river and the peaceful fields.

The MV "Where My Childhood Comes" is like a gentle whisper about motherhood, hometown, and childhood nostalgia. Phuong Nga hopes that when the audience watches the MV, they will not only see a unique story of the singer, but also see themselves, the image of their mother, the old roof, the village road, the sound of the river, the smell of new rice...
The message Phuong Nga wants to convey is that no matter where you go or what you do, our hearts always turn to the place where you were born, to have a mother, a gentle memory, and the roots of love.
Singer Phuong Nga emotionally shared that her childhood was always associated with the rice fields, which were times she went planting and plowing to help her family. Although their family is not superficial, parents still try to raise their children to study fully, especially accompanying their daughter to Hanoi to study and pursue her passion for singing. For Phuong Nga, her family is always her most peaceful place.

I chose to sing about my mother, about my childhood, about my family because that is what I am living and feeling most clearly. After becoming a mother, I have a deeper understanding of the love, sacrifice and unconditional gentleness that my mother has given me. I want to use this song to show gratitude to my mother, and also to connect with those who are mothers, children - so that each person can find themselves in it when listening.
Family affection is also a very sacred and deep form of love, the affection that nurtures people from the smallest things" - Phuong Nga said.
After the "Sao Mai 2022" contest, Phuong Nga received many invitations and had her own music plans, but at that time she wanted to focus all her attention on her family. Being a mother helps her mature and nurture her musical emotions more deeply.
Phuong Nga did not make a hasty choice, but wanted that when she had released a music product, it would be something she was really passionate about, mature enough in emotions and artistic thinking. Now, when Phuong Nga is ready to return to music, she chooses to start over with the most familiar and sincere things.
I think each artist has their own style, and the biggest difference is the experience of life. I am a young person, but also a mother and that gives me my own perspective when performing folk music.
I do not try to be different or "moderate" too much, but I choose to keep the spirit and quality of love, but show it with the breath and pace of life of my generation. I believe that the sincerity in the way I sing, the real emotions in the way I convey them are what makes me different and leave my own mark - Phuong Nga shared more.
