On August 1, the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation said that many grassroots trade unions in the area simultaneously organized Trade Union Meals for union members and workers. Not only improving the quality of meals, activities also create a close atmosphere and connection between workers and businesses and trade union organizations.
At the units, daily meals are supplemented with more dishes, helping workers have more complete and quality meals.
At Ham Kiem 2 Industrial Park (Ham Kiem commune), the grassroots trade union of Right Rich International Co., Ltd. organized a Trade Union Meal for more than 3,000 union members and workers. The value of each meal has been increased with more dishes thanks to trade union support for costs. The total organization cost is 150 million VND.
Mr. Tran Duy Thanh - Chairman of Ham Kiem Commune Trade Union - said that Trade Union meals are carefully prepared by the unit during daily shift meals. Not only enjoying more delicious dishes than usual, workers also feel the concern and companionship of the trade union organization and businesses.
At Phan Thiet Industrial Park, the Trade Union of Thuan Tien Garment Co., Ltd. organized a Trade Union Meal for 1,300 union members and workers. Each meal is worth 35,000 VND, of which the trade union supports an additional 15,000 VND to supplement many dishes such as chicken rice, soup soup, vegetables and dessert. The total program budget is nearly 53 million VND.
Meanwhile, the Trade Union of Hai Nam Co., Ltd., Phu Thuy ward, also organized a Trade Union Meal for about 1,400 union members.
In Tien Thanh ward, the grassroots Trade Union of Ngoc Son Tourism Investment Joint Stock Company organized a program for 100 union members with a value of 60,000 VND per meal. According to Ms. Dao Thi Ha Ny, Chairwoman of Tien Thanh Ward Trade Union, meals not only help improve the quality of meals but also create space for workers, business leaders and trade unions to chat and share difficulties in work and life.
Many union members also expressed their desire for the program to be maintained more regularly so that workers have more quality meals, contributing to improving health and working spirit.
To avoid affecting production activities, businesses proactively arrange Trade Union Meals in each working shift. Food safety and hygiene work is also strictly implemented.
Trade Union meals do not only stop at increasing the value of each meal. The activity also demonstrates the practical care of trade union organizations and businesses for workers, contributing to building a united and close working environment and creating more motivation for union members to feel secure in working and production.
