On January 4, Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation - said that trade union levels in the province have completed the first phase of support for union members and workers affected by storms and floods.
Accordingly, 900 union members and workers belonging to grassroots trade unions, commune and ward trade unions in the province have received support.

Among these, 500 people are supported at a level of 1 million VND/gift, 400 people are supported at a level of 500,000 VND/gift. The support level is based on the level of damage to houses and property of each union member's family.
The first storm and flood occurred in the period from October 27 to November 1, 2025, causing deep flooding in many communes and wards in the downstream area of Song Quao Lake.
Many residential areas and workers' houses were flooded in, damaging property and directly affecting the lives of workers.

Notably, the heavily affected areas have many workers working at Phan Thiet Industrial Park, Ham Kiem Industrial Park and grassroots trade unions in the area.
After the natural disaster, many union members have to both overcome the consequences of flooding and worry about livelihoods, especially in the late year period.
To ensure support for the right beneficiaries, before allocating funds, grassroots trade unions, commune and ward trade unions have conducted public and transparent reviews and evaluations of the extent of damage to each union member.
The support handover is carried out directly, promptly, to the right people, at the right level, to help union members have more resources to cover immediate living expenses.

After the flood in early December 2025 (phase 2), the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation is continuing to complete the necessary procedures to allocate funds and deploy support for union members and workers affected in the next natural disaster.
Timely care and support for union members after storms and floods is not only materially meaningful but also clearly demonstrates the role of the trade union organization in accompanying workers in difficult times.
Thereby, contributing to consolidating the faith of union members in the trade union organization, helping workers feel secure in sticking with the business, gradually stabilizing their lives after natural disasters.
