On the morning of December 3, the Binh Thuan Provincial Federation of Labor organized a training course to implement some contents of the Law on Grassroots Democracy and trade unions' participation in implementing grassroots democracy.
Attending the event were 70 delegates who were officials and experts from departments under the Provincial Federation of Labor, presidents and vice presidents of district-level labor federations, industry-level trade unions and grassroots trade unions of enterprises with 1,000 or more employees.
The Law on Implementing Democracy at the Grassroots Level regulates the content and methods of implementing democracy at the grassroots level, the rights and obligations of citizens in implementing democracy at the grassroots level, and the responsibilities of agencies, units, organizations, and individuals in ensuring the implementation of democracy at the grassroots level. Since its promulgation, the new law has had an impact on society, agencies, and units and is currently a matter of concern.
The reporter of the Provincial Federation of Labor further disseminated Decree No. 59/2023/ND-CP dated August 14, 2023 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Law on Grassroots Democracy in activities at agencies and units; the role of the People's Inspectorate in preventing and combating corruption and negativity. At the same time, he emphasized new points about the Law on Grassroots Democracy. The delegates exchanged basic skills, expertise and practical experience in activities at the units.
The training session provided a lot of information and skills for union officials, contributing to promoting the ownership of officials, civil servants and employees in the agency and enhancing the responsibility of heads of agencies and units.
