Dak Lak - Hundreds of union officials and union members of the Transport sector have been disseminated about laws on traffic safety and order.

On October 4, the Dak Lak Provincial Transport Trade Union informed that the unit coordinated with the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee Office and the Propaganda Team (Traffic Police Department) to organize a training conference, propaganda, and dissemination of laws on road traffic safety and order for grassroots trade union officials, union members, and workers.

The conference was attended by 200 union officials and members. Thereby, focusing on disseminating laws and ensuring road traffic safety and order among union members, workers, civil servants and employees in the Transport sector.

Mr. Trinh Huu Thanh - Chairman of the Dak Lak Province Transport Trade Union - said that traffic accidents are a pressing social issue.

The consequences of traffic accidents not only leave pain for the victims' families but also lead to poverty and burden on society.

For trade union organizations, compliance with traffic safety laws must be included in the criteria for individual and collective emulation, and recognition of strong grassroots trade unions...

"Therefore, the grassroots trade unions need to proactively develop plans to implement propaganda work on ensuring traffic safety and order right at their units. Units must be important focal points in conveying and propagating legal documents to union members and workers. At the same time, industry trade union officials need to be exemplary pioneers and responsible in coordinating the inspection and control of violations of road traffic laws," Mr. Thanh emphasized.
