Teacher Nguyen Thi Gai - President of the Trade Union of Tan Phuc 1 Primary School (Tan Phuc Commune, Ham Tan District, Binh Thuan) has 34 years of experience in the teaching profession, including 28 years of working in the trade union with 8 terms of election as president of the school's trade union.
The female chairwoman of the grassroots union shared that she always kept in mind that "The grassroots union is an essential organization in the school, a department standing next to the school to support and coordinate in all activities", so she has tried to have many initiatives and solutions to help connect and improve the quality of union activities at the grassroots level.
Many union activities are organized for union members to participate in such as organizing monthly birthday parties for union members, field trips, folk singing, culinary, professional extracurricular activities... and are actively responded to by union members.
Not only does she take care of her office work and the lives of her union members, she also strives to fulfill her role as a wife and mother. To do this, she arranges her time reasonably by making a detailed daily and weekly schedule with household chores. The female union president also takes advantage of her days off, especially in the summer during the harvest season, to work on the fields, grow cassava, acacia, raise fish, and grow bananas to increase her family's income.
With her efforts to fulfill school and family responsibilities, Nguyen Thi Gai, President of the Trade Union of Tan Phuc 1 Primary School, has received many Certificates of Merit from the Binh Thuan Provincial Labor Federation for topics, typical examples, and certificates of merit from the province and the central government. Most recently, she was awarded the Certificate of Merit as "Outstanding Trade Union President" by the Binh Thuan Provincial Labor Federation.
