Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC) awarded international level 1 and 2 certificates for the field of temperature testing with thermal cameras to 10 electrical engineers of EVNHCMC on the morning of March 18. This is a certificate with global value.
Throughout the course, students were exposed to in-depth knowledge, updated modern heat testing and analysis methods according to international standard ISO 18436-7 through 10 days of theoretical learning and 820 hours of practical practice on the power grid.
These are also the first electrical engineers in Vietnam to be deeply trained and meet international standards in thermal imaging in the electrical industry organized by the IRT Thermal imaging Institute (Canada) in coordination with EVNHCMC.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Luan Quoc Hung - Deputy General Director of EVNHCMC - said that in recent years, EVNHCMC has always been a pioneer in training and improving the qualifications of workers, including many programs meeting international standards.
Currently, hundreds of EVNHCMC engineers have been granted ASEAN professional engineer certificates. However, in the context of increasingly deep integration and meeting international standards, development orientations in the future, EVNHCMC will continue to strengthen international training for employees in the unit.
Mr. Hung also said that the 10 electrical engineers certified this time will become pioneers, core lecturers and experts, continuing to share, guide and spread knowledge about thermal imaging technology to engineers and workers at units throughout EVNHCMC.
“Training these engineers is an important step in improving the quality of EVNHCMC's human resources, meeting the increasingly deep international integration requirements in the field of energy and technology,” Mr. Hung said.
