On March 18, according to information from Vinh Long Provincial Police, a fire occurred in An Loc Giong hamlet, Mo Cay commune, killing 2 people and causing much property damage.
Previously, at about 5:45 am on March 16, at the household of Mr. H.T. T (born in 1986, trading in spare parts, motorbike and motorcycle repair) suddenly a fierce fire broke out. At this time, Mr. T.'s children were in the house.
As a result, Mr. T's 2 children died from smoke inhalation. Many assets in the house were burned down, initial estimated damage is about 250 million VND.
The initial cause was determined to be an electrical short circuit during the electric bicycle battery charging process, leading to sparks and a fire.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Provincial Police Department directed the Mo Cay Commune Police force to coordinate with the Fire and Rescue Police Department to quickly arrive at the scene to deploy firefighting and rescue.
At about 6:50 am on the same day, the fire was controlled and completely extinguished. Currently, the Investigation Police Agency is continuing to examine the scene and clarify the cause of the incident.
