Specifically, the plan sets out the goal of continuing to implement programs and projects on population work, focusing on the Vietnam Population Strategy to 2030.
Encourage couples and individuals to have children to achieve and maintain the replacement fertility rate; improve population quality associated with improving the quality of human resources.
Focus on improving the quality of population in mountainous areas; promote health care for the elderly, adapting to population aging.
To achieve the set goals, the plan identifies many tasks and solutions such as: perfecting institutions and policies; organizing the implementation of legal documents on population; strengthening inspection and supervision; promoting propaganda, dissemination, and legal education.
At the same time, synchronously implement population solutions, including implementing birth promotion policies; controlling gender imbalance at birth.
Expanding screening, diagnosis, and treatment of some prenatal and newborn diseases and disabilities; taking care of the health of the elderly; improving the stature and physical strength of young people; improving the quality of population in mountainous areas.
Counseling, health check-ups before marriage and preventing unwanted pregnancies in adolescents.
The plan also requires strengthening population communication; consolidating and developing specialized population information systems.
Promoting the application of information technology, digital transformation; implementing national target programs and population programs according to the Central Government's guidelines; training and fostering to improve the capacity of cadres working in population work at all levels.
