The 1st Party Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2025 - 2030, took place at an important time - the whole nation is at the threshold of a new era - an era of rising up, for peace, independence, democracy, wealth, prosperity, civilization, happiness, firmly moving towards socialism.
Union members and workers nationwide are working hard with the entire Party, people and army to strive, seize opportunities and advantages, overcome all difficulties and challenges, and be determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, actively prepare for the 14th National Congress of the Party; implement the Central Committee's resolutions and conclusions on continuing to innovate, streamline the political system, be streamlined, effective and efficient; promote innovation, creativity and digital transformation, and develop the private economy as a breakthrough driving force in building an autonomous, self-reliant, and self-reliant economy associated with extensive, substantially effective international integration.
With the theme: "Building a clean and strong Party Committee; innovating thinking and vision; contributing to building a modern and strong working class in the new era" and the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Creativity - Development", the Congress is tasked with evaluating the results of the work of the 2020-2025 term; setting out directions, goals, tasks, and solutions for the 2025-2030 term and discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents of the National Party Congress of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations and the 14th National Congress of the Party.
According to the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, there will be 150 delegates attending the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the 2025-2030 term.
On February 10, 2025, the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor was established on the basis of the functions and tasks of the Party Delegation of the General Confederation and the Party Committee of the General Confederation (formerly under the Party Committee of the Central Agencies) with 14 affiliated Party organizations and 520 Party members.
On July 11, 2025, based on the Party's policies and resolutions and the Project to rearrange affiliated Party organizations in accordance with the post-reorganization model, the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will continue to be reorganized and established with 11 affiliated Party organizations, 503 Party members including cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers. The Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is the direct superior party organization of the grassroots party organization, directly under the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations; under the leadership and direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat on political orientation, important work contents in performing the political tasks of the Vietnam Trade Union organization and under the leadership of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations.
