According to the Vietnam Science and Technology Union (CĐKHCN), in 2025, CĐKHCN regularly promotes the dissemination of directives, resolutions, major policies of the Party, of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, contents related to gender, gender equality, regulations of the Labor Code for female workers, posting documents and articles propagating about women's work, population, family and children on internal electronic information pages... CĐKHCN also develops an action plan for the advancement of women in the science and technology sector and guides gender equality, population, family and children in 2025; guides key tasks of women's work in 2025.
Thanks to that, gender and family activities among female workers and employees are quite vibrant, innovative in content, diverse and rich in form; trade union levels always pay attention to and organize many meaningful and practical activities suitable to conditions and circumstances, meeting the thoughts and aspirations of female workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCLĐ). CĐKHCN promotes the emulation movement "Good at work - Good at home", mobilizing female workers and employees to actively participate in emulation movements and major campaigns of the industry; building families according to the criteria of prosperity, equality, progress, and happiness; mobilizing women to study to improve professional qualifications, build a level playing field of equal and progressive working environment.
As a result, 100% of affiliated trade unions organized activities to celebrate International Women's Day March 8, responding to "Ao Dai Week", giving gifts to female workers and employees, organizing celebrations of International Happiness Day March 20, Vietnamese Family Day June 28, the founding anniversary of the Vietnam Women's Union October 20... CĐKHCN also organized online contests to learn about laws, corporate culture, the art of maintaining family happiness, raising healthy children, and teaching good children...
In particular, during the Action Month for Children in 2025, the S&T Union supported 297 children of workers and employees in the S&T sector with severe illnesses, congenital disabilities, and families in difficult circumstances with the amount of 297 million VND (1,000,000 VND per child); affiliated trade unions supported 1,828 children with a total amount of over one billion VND.
The work of training, improving qualifications and female cadre work is focused on being carried out regularly and continuously, trade unions at all levels have proactively advised Party committees at the same level in planning, training, fostering and arranging the use of female cadres. Paying attention to creating sources, sending female trade union cadres to participate in professional training courses, political theory, and paying attention to developing female party members.
Through trade union activities, many women have grown up and are trusted by the Party and professional leaders to assign important responsibilities, promoted and appointed to leadership positions at units and management levels... In 2025, 21,121 women have been trained in professional skills and leadership skills, 100% of agencies and units with 50% or more female workers have key female leaders introduced by the trade union.
