Attending and experiencing activities at the consultation and career guidance session organized by the Hanoi Department of Home Affairs on May 11, Chu Thi Minh Chau (18 years old, from Phu Xuyen district, Hanoi) said that in addition to learning about job information at the session, she also consulted information about schools that have training in tourism and travel service management.
I am a person who loves to travel and explore many regions across the country with the desire to meet and interact with more people. After a round of consultation and visiting booths of schools with training in tourism and travel, I still wonder how to accurately determine the school I want to study at, Chau shared.
As an 11th grade student, Nguyen Thi Thu (Tran Phu High School, Ba Vi, Hanoi) proactively attended the job fair on May 17 organized by the Hanoi Employment Service Center to learn and listen to advice from employers.
In the future, I plan to take a university exam in business administration or marketing. Attending the session as well as listening to advice from businesses helps me find marketing job positions quite interesting. However, I have not decided which school I will study at. I will have to refer to and learn more information and advice from my family and teachers..., Thu shared.
According to Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Vocational Education Association, there are 3 groups of big questions from students, students and parents in the process of consulting and guiding their careers: Concerns about being replaced by AI; wondering what level, profession, or school should they study; not knowing whether they should continue studying or not.
"If young people do not learn anything, they will be outdated and almost eliminated in the digital age. What major, where and how to study should be suitable for each person's ability and circumstances," said Mr. Tuan.
Sharing the same view, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Huong - former Director of the Institute of Social Labor Science said that if they enter the labor market without degrees and skills, workers will face many difficulties and challenges.
"Workers without skills and vocational training will have difficulty finding stable and long-term jobs, and their income is also lower than that of workers with expertise and qualifications. Not to mention, in the current context, it is difficult for workers who do not learn a trade to escape unemployment, Ms. Huong advised.
