The Hanoi Employment Service Center believes that August is the time when workers tend to look for new job opportunities to increase income.
Along with that, businesses also restarted production and business activities, creating many vacant jobs, especially in the general labor group and office workers. In August 2026, in the City, the total number of workers looking for jobs was 42,900 people.
Based on surveys and information collection of nearly 5,000 job seekers from the Hanoi Employment Service Center, the desired salary of workers is mainly from 10-20 million VND/month (accounting for 48.6%). This is the expected salary level of people with good professional qualifications (such as university graduates or experienced intermediate/high-level professionals).
Salaries from 5-10 million VND/month account for 43.3%, this is the common salary level on the market, suitable for this group are usually general laborers, new graduates, or basic administrative/service positions.
Salaries over 20 million VND/month account for 7.8%, concentrated in senior personnel such as leaders, managers or experienced experts.
This shows that the most vibrant recruitment market will be in the salary range of 5-20 million VND/month. Businesses wanting to attract a large number of application dossiers need to position the minimum salary range in this range to ensure competitiveness," said a representative of the Hanoi Employment Service Center.
