On July 19, at Viet Tiep Friendship Labor Culture Palace, the Trade Union of 6 wards including: Gia Vien, Ngo Quyen, Le Chan, An Bien, Hai An, Dong Hai jointly organized the "Healthy and Beautiful Footsteps" Running Tournament and the Tug of War Tournament for union members, association members and workers in the area.
This is a practical activity to celebrate the success of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour for the term 2026 - 2031, celebrate the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026) and respond to the campaign "All people practice physical exercise following the example of the great Uncle Ho".
According to a representative of the Organizing Committee: The tournament is not only a playground to train health in the spirit of "Healthy to work, healthy to contribute" but also an opportunity to strengthen exchanges, solidarity, and build a cultural and safe working environment for workers. In particular, competition contents such as the tug-of-war race promote the spirit of coordination, solidarity, and express the will to surpass oneself - core values that the Trade Union organization always aims for in the new development stage.
The "Healthy and Beautiful Footsteps 2026" race has a distance of 2 km with a route starting from the Viet Tiep Friendship Labor Culture Palace, passing through Lach Tray street and circling the City Youth Palace. The activity attracted the large participation of about 5,000 athletes who are leaders, officials, union members, and workers from agencies, units, businesses and socio-political organizations in 6 wards.


After the race, the atmosphere of the festival became even more exciting with the tug-of-war. With careful preparation in terms of technique and fitness, 9 teams contributed dramatic competitions, showing the spirit of unity and high determination.
At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded the First, Second, Third and Consolation prizes to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in running and tug-of-war.
