Be careful when buying goods at the Fair organized by the Trade Union
Present at the fair quite early, when the opening program had not yet begun, Ms. Bui Thi Thuy Tinh - a worker at Yamaha Motor Vietnam phunment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. - went to the stalls selling vegetables and fruits. She chose to buy 3.6kg of tomatoes for a total of 180,000 VND. Ms. Tinh said that the tomato price at the fair is cheaper than at the market by nearly 15,000 VND/kg, and is guaranteed food safety and hygiene, so she buys a lot to eat gradually. She said: "I have been to the Trade Union Tet market before, so I am very confident in the quality of products at the fair organized by the Trade Union, for example, here, the prices of green vegetables are cheaper than at the market at this time".
With the desire to buy some consumer goods for her family, Ms. Nguyen Thi Gam, who is working at Mitsubishi Vietnam Pencil Ball Company Limited, and her husband, who is working at TOTO Vietnam Company Limited, arrived at the fair quite early. The first item Ms. Gam chose to buy was clothes. Ms. Gam commented that the items at the fair meet the requirements of many local workers and people. "The prices of all goods are stable, cheaper than outside, if the price can be reduced further, it will be very good" - Ms. Gam shared.
51 booths of nearly 40 prestigious enterprises and production facilities in the capital participated in the fair, not only meeting the needs of workers but also serving the local people. Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Quy, Women's Group No. 2, Dong Anh Commune, is one of the many people who come to visit and shop at the Fair organized by the Hanoi City Labor Federation. Ms. Quy learned about the Fair at the invitation of the Women's Group No. 2, combined with the fact that her house was only about 300 - 400m from the Fair (Center for Culture, Information, Sports of Dong Anh Commune), so she spent a whole day going to the booths. She said that the fair has many essential, diverse items and ensures quality and reasonable prices, so she will shop for what her family currently needs.
In addition to shopping activities, the fair also has many cultural, artistic and community exchange programs. In particular, the exchange program of Zumba clubs in Dong Anh commune with 20 performances, each performance has the participation of 20 - 25 people. The program is youthful, vibrant, and attractive; it has created a joyful and cohesive atmosphere for people and workers.
Trade unions arouse pride and responsibility when choosing Vietnamese products
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy - Vice President of the Hanoi City Labor Federation, the fair is a meaningful activity in response to the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", while affirming the role of the Capital Trade Union in caring for the interests of union members, accompanying Vietnamese enterprises for sustainable development.
In particular, all products at the fair are discounted at least 10% compared to the market, many items are deeply discounted by 30-40%, accompanied by promotional programs and special gratitude gifts for union members and workers. This is the companionship and sharing of enterprises with the Trade Union organization and the capital's labor force, and at the same time shows the concern of the Trade Union organization for local people. Not only a space for preferential shopping, the Fair is also an important highlight in the propaganda work of the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", contributing to raising social awareness, arousing pride and responsibility when choosing Vietnamese products, building a new - civilized, healthy consumer culture and prioritizing domestic goods.
From the beginning of 2025 to now, over 900,000 union members and workers have been visited and given gifts by the Capital's Trade Unions at all levels with a total amount of nearly 400 billion VND.
