On the afternoon of November 22, at Aleron Vietnam Shoes Co., Ltd. (in Hoang Long Industrial Park), the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) organized a communication forum on gender equality and prevention of domestic violence in the digital age.
The program was attended by Ms. Trinh Thi Hoa - Vice President, Head of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor's Trade Union; representatives of the leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF), the Department of Home Affairs, the Provincial Women's Union and 150 workers of Aleron Vietnam Shoes Co., Ltd.
According to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor, the forum was held in response to the Month of Action for Gender Equality and Prevention of Gender-Based Violence in 2025 (from November 15 to December 25.) and the World Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and girls (November 25.
The program aims to strengthen propaganda and education, raise awareness among union members and workers about legal policies related to gender equality; prevention and response to gender-based violence, especially in the online environment and the digital age.
At the forum, hundreds of workers listened to share experiences, models and solutions for applying technology and digital communications to promote gender equality.
Speaking at the program, Ms. Trinh Thi Hoa said that in recent years, gender equality and domestic violence prevention have had many positive changes. Social awareness has been raised, many policies for women's progress have been implemented, the material and spiritual life of female workers has been increasingly concerned. However, domestic violence still occurs in many places, with sophisticated and unrecognizable forms.
In the digital age, violence does not only occur in the family space but also spreads on the internet environment - where malicious words, false information, and edited images can seriously damage the spirit and honor of women and girls. This is a new form of violence, difficult to identify but leaves serious consequences.
Gender equality and domestic violence prevention are not just the tasks of anyone, but the responsibility of the whole society, of each collective and family. I hope that after today's forum, each worker will become an active propagandist, spreading the message of gender equality, respect and sharing in family, colleagues and the community" - Ms. Hoa emphasized.

Also at the program, representatives of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor and provincial departments and branches presented 50 sets of Ao Dai to union members and workers of Aleron Vietnam Shoes Co., Ltd.
