Information from the Trade Union Board of Industrial Parks of the City Labor Federation, grassroots trade unions in industrial parks in the East of Hai Phong area organized 324 dialogues at workplaces, promptly resolving 443 petitions from union members. In the West area, grassroots trade unions also successfully had 205 dialogues, 283 petitions from union members related to salaries, working hours, rest hours, working conditions and welfare were answered.
Clubs of Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of grassroots trade unions in industrial parks also regularly exchange and share experiences in organizing dialogues at workplaces and negotiating and signing collective labor agreements. Grassroots trade unions have shared experiences with units preparing for dialogues, negotiations or arising problems, focusing on groups of issues of concern to workers such as salaries, meals and welfare regimes.
Units also provide dialogue content templates, negotiation preparation procedures, draft collective labor agreements and experience in handling employee petitions. On that basis, grassroots trade unions have more information to compare, determine priority content, develop plans and select proposal levels suitable to the production and business situation of enterprises.
From sharing and support activities, in the Eastern region, 77% of grassroots trade unions reported having salary increases in 2026; the average increase is 450,000 VND/person/month. 95 units increased lunch meals, the average increase is 5,477 VND/person/meal, bringing the average lunch meal value to 31,325 VND/person/meal.
In the western region, 187 units adjusted salary increases in 2026. The average minimum wage is about 5.81 million VND/person/month; the average increase is 560,000 VND/person/month, equivalent to 9.6%. The average bonus for the 13th month's salary reaches 1.09 months' salary. Some allowances have also been adjusted, increasing sharply such as attendance allowance of 540,000 VND, travel allowance of 370,000 VND, house rental allowance of 470,000 VND and 100,000 VND for raising young children... The average value of meals is about 27,600 VND/person/meal...
Representatives of the Industrial Park Trade Union Board said that from now until the end of 2026, the Board will continue to direct the Clubs of Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of grassroots trade unions to focus on supporting dialogue, negotiation and improving regimes for workers. In which, clubs strengthen experience sharing, comparative data and professional support for grassroots trade unions that have not organized dialogues, have not improved shift meals, have not signed new or amended collective labor agreements and have not arranged Saturdays off. The content of exchange focuses on salary levels, allowances, shift meals, working hours, rest hours and welfare regimes that are more beneficial for workers; prioritizing large-labor enterprises, low shift meals or arising reflections on working conditions.
In addition, promote support between members, in which grassroots trade unions have experience in sharing methods of collecting workers' opinions, preparing content, developing plans and organizing dialogues and negotiations with employers.
