On the afternoon of June 18, the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) held the 5th (expanded) Executive Committee Conference, term XI, 2023-2028) and summarized the activities in the first 6 months of 2025. Mr. Chau Van Ly - Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor - chaired the conference.
Attending were Ms. Dinh Thi Viet Huynh - Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Council - and more than 50 delegates, guests who are members of the Executive Committee, members of the Provincial Federation of Labor Inspection Committee, Chairmen or Vice Chairmen of the Trade Union under the Provincial Federation of Labor.
According to the summary report of the Provincial Federation of Labor, over the past 6 months, the Trade Unions at all levels have focused resources on organizing to care for the Lunar New Year and Workers' Month for union members and workers effectively and practically.
Notably, the government has coordinated well to represent and protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers, especially the activities of caring for union members and workers during the Lunar New Year 2025 to all levels of trade unions in the province. Thereby, creating trust and excitement for union members and workers in the Trade Union organization.
In particular, the Provincial Federation of Labor has focused many resources to visit and present 2,461 gifts to union members and workers, with a total amount of VND 2.461 billion. From the budget of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Federation of Labor organized for Party and State leaders and the Provincial National Assembly Delegation to present 400 Tet gifts to union members, workers and laborers in difficult circumstances...
The Provincial Federation of Labor also implemented the online program "2025 Trade Union Tet Market" organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for nearly 2,800 union officials, union members, and workers in the province to participate in purchasing consumer goods and essential goods to serve Tet needs.
For the direct superior trade union at the grassroots level, 15/15 units have flexibly integrated trade union financial resources and socialized sources, supporting over 5,000 Tet gifts for union members and workers in difficult circumstances (1 million VND/gift); donating 16 Trade Union Shelters on the occasion of the Lunar New Year... with a total amount of nearly 5.5 billion VND.
In particular, in addition to promoting the highest level of Trade Union financial resources, many Trade Unions also advise the authorities, boards of directors, leaders of agencies, units, and enterprises to proactively visit and give Tet gifts to 110,000 union members and workers, with a total amount of over 103 billion VND.
In the first 6 months of 2025, the Provincial Union Members and Workers Support Fund will spend to support 108 Trade Union Shelters with a total amount of 4.5 billion VND. Trade unions at all levels visited and provided sick leave benefits to 3,119 union members and workers with an amount of over 1.4 billion VND; and guaranteed loans to 130 union members and workers with an amount of over 11 billion VND.
