Trade unions actively coordinate to take care of Tet for workers
Ms. Nguyen Thu Trang - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Soc Trang Urban Construction Joint Stock Company - informed that on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025, the Trade Union coordinated with the Company's Board of Directors to give gifts to 363 union members and employees.
Each gift is worth over VND250,000 and VND900,000 in cash. The company also directly went to the homes of 20 union members and employees with especially difficult circumstances to give them 20 gifts, each worth over VND1 million, so that they can enjoy the Spring Festival and celebrate Tet. Ms. Trang said that the company also awarded 1 month's salary and supported all union members and employees with VND3.5 million in cash for Tet expenses.
Ms. Thai Le Quan - Chairman of the Union of Tuntex Soc Trang Company Limited - said that according to the plan, this year the company's Union will coordinate with the Board of Directors to give more than 1,500 gifts to union members and employees. The lowest cash gift is 550,000 VND/union member who has participated in the Union for 1 year or more. The Union will also coordinate with the company to organize the Year-end party, lucky draw programs with many attractive gifts, and participate in entertainment activities organized by the superior union.
Mr. Phan Tan Phong - Chairman of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of Soc Trang province - informed that in this year's Tet Sum Vay - Xuan An Party Program, 4,218 union members under the Trade Union of Industrial Parks received gifts and 1,000 union members were able to shop for goods at the 2025 Trade Union Tet Market. The Trade Union of Industrial Parks of the province also organized sports activities to contribute to creating a joyful, safe and happy Tet atmosphere.
Union members and workers all have Tet
According to the Soc Trang Industrial Parks Trade Union, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, most companies and enterprises will have Tet bonuses. Of which, the foreign-invested company sector (FDI) will have an average bonus of 5.1 million VND/person, the highest is 40 million VND/person, the lowest is 4.1 million VND/person.
The average bonus for the private sector is 7.3 million VND/person, the highest is 39 million VND/person, the lowest is 0.2 million VND/person. Currently, the enterprise trade unions are supporting gifts, 100% of union members and employees have Tet gifts (from 250,000 - 550,000 VND/gift), not including Tet bonuses.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son - Chairman of the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor - said that for the Lunar New Year 2025, with the support capital from the Central Government, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Party Committee, and the People's Committee of Soc Trang province, benefactors presented 400 gifts to workers, with a total value of 520 million VND. Supported 7,326 gifts for union members and employees, with a total value of over 3.5 billion VND. Presented 56 Trade Union Shelter houses to union members, with an amount equivalent to 2.8 billion VND. The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor supported 3,200 gifts for union members to participate in the Trade Union Tet Market through the e-commerce trading floor, each gift worth 500,000 VND.
After Tet, the union will visit and congratulate businesses to understand the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers; act as a bridge to introduce jobs for workers to businesses in need of labor.
The Chairman of the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor emphasized that when union members and employees see the care, they will trust and consider the Trade Union organization as their solid support, thereby voluntarily joining the Vietnam Trade Union organization; creating motivation, encouraging union members and employees to work with higher productivity, quality, efficiency and increasingly attached to the enterprise.
