Manpower Company has just announced a recruitment trend survey for the second quarter of 2026. Accordingly, Vietnam recorded strong recruitment demand in the second quarter when businesses participating in the survey had 7/9 industries planning to increase recruitment.
Specifically, the construction and real estate sectors recorded a net recruitment prospect of 64% - 30 percentage points higher than the global average of the sector. According to Manpower Company, this rate reflects a large demand for human resources as Vietnam is promoting key infrastructure projects, urban planning and developing new cities in the coming years.
In the fields of trade and logistics, 42% of businesses expect to increase recruitment, and 42% said they will reduce recruitment.
In addition to the recruitment plan, the Q2 recruitment trend survey also assesses the level of artificial intelligence application in each country's personnel strategy. The survey results show that in Vietnam, AI is being widely deployed and becoming a powerful tool for businesses.
According to Manpower Company, among all businesses participating in the survey, only 5% of businesses have not recorded any investment value (ROI) brought about by AI. 87% of businesses in Vietnam have applied AI in recruitment, new employee reception (onboarding) or training. Notably, 20% of businesses affirmed that AI fully meets their expectations.
Notably, the process of applying AI still faces some barriers, led by concerns about privacy and legality (17%), the labor force lacking AI skills (15%) and incomplete internal training programs (13%).
