In October 2025, the number of job seekers in Hanoi will be over 36,000 people, with the desired salary of those looking for jobs mainly in the unskilled segment from 5-10 million VND/month, accounting for 83.1%.
On November 13, the Hanoi Employment Service Center said that in October 2025, there will be 36,000 workers looking for jobs in the city.
Based on the survey and information collection of more than 4,000 job secher records of the Center, it shows that the desired salary of job seekers is mainly in the unskilled segment (5-10 million VND/month) accounting for 83.1%. The salary of 10-20 million VND/month accounts for 8.9%; the salary of over 20 million VND/month accounts for about 0.9%.
In terms of age, the young labor force aged 25-34 continues to be the largest job-seeking force, accounting for 48.6% (down 16.% compared to the previous month), showing that this generation of workers is in the most active career shift period. In contrast, the more experienced age group from 35-54 years old continued to take second place, accounting for 42.6%.
The demand for job search of workers in October focused on the following occupations: don gian dung (accounting for 27.7%), assemblers, equipment operators (accounting for 23.6%) and office assistant staff (accounting for 12%).

In terms of professional qualifications, the largest proportion is the group of "untrained" workers, which has increased to 47.4% (an increase of 9.8% compared to the previous month). Next is the group of workers with "technical workers' equal" qualifications, accounting for 30.6%. The labor group "University degree or higher" accounts for 17.1%. "This shows that the unskilled labor force is having many difficulties when looking for jobs at the end of the year even though businesses regularly recruit seasonal and part-time jobs at the present time," said the Hanoi Employment Service Center.
Regarding the characteristics of workers receiving unemployment benefits, in October 2025, the number of people applying for unemployment benefits increased slightly compared to September (from 6,136 records to 6,531 records), however, the number of people with decisions to receive unemployment benefits decreased (from 5,404 to 5,300) showing that a part of workers have quickly returned to the labor market.
Regarding the structure of workers receiving subsidies, female workers continue to account for the majority with about 61.1% of the total number of people approved to pay, a slight increase compared to the previous month. In terms of age, the golden age group of workers (from 25-40 years old) is still the group with the largest proportion, with 3,403 people, showing that this is the group that continues to suffer the most fluctuations in the market. However, a notable trend is that the number of people receiving benefits in the age group over 40 increased (2,108 compared to 1,566 people in September 2025). This increase shows that job pressure is spreading to middle-aged workers - workers who are easily eliminated due to the pressure of information technology networks and the application of AI, automation into the work of businesses.
