The Hanoi Employment Service Center said that in September 2025, there will be over 36,000 workers looking for jobs in the area. A part of workers are being affected by economic factors such as geopolitical conflicts and US tariff policies, causing many businesses, especially in the export sector, to cut staff or stop operations.
Based on a survey and information collection of 1,850 job seekers' records of the Hanoi Employment Service Center, it shows that the desired salary of job seekers mainly in the high-end segment is from 5 - 10 million VND/month, accounting for 81.77%; from 10 - 20 million VND/month, accounting for 16.98%; salary over 20 million VND/month, accounting for about 0.95%.
In terms of age, the young labor force aged 25-34 continues to be the largest job-seeking force, accounting for 50.22% (an increase of 3.32% compared to August 2025). This shows that this generation of workers is in the most active career shift period. In contrast, the more experienced age group from 35-54 years old continued to take second place, accounting for 40%.
The demand for job search of workers in September 2025 will focus on the following occupations: Assembly and operation of machinery and equipment (accounting for 43.47%), mid-level specialists (accounting for 13.71%) and office assistant staff (accounting for 12.47%).
In terms of professional qualifications, the largest proportion is the group of "untrained" workers, which has increased to 37.61%; followed by the group of workers with "University degree or higher" accounting for 28.14%. The group of workers "technical workers are not equal" accounts for 25.29%. "This shows that the unskilled labor force is facing many difficulties in finding jobs in the digital age, automation systems are gradually changing the job market," said Mr. Vu Quang Thanh - Deputy Director of Hanoi Employment Service Center.
