On September 15, at the Provincial Labor Culture House (Long Xuyen ward), the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized professional training on Trade Union work for 126 grassroots trade union officials (CĐCS).
The training session was attended by Mr. Nguyen Nhat Tien, Standing Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation, along with 126 grassroots trade union officials, representatives of commune and ward trade unions, grassroots trade unions and trade unions in Long Xuyen and neighboring areas.
Participating in the program, Trade Union officials were trained on 4 topics including: content and methods of activities of Trade Union officials; skills in propaganda and mobilization to develop union members; content of negotiation and signing of collective labor agreements; skills in supporting and advising on laws for union members and workers.
Through thematic topics, Trade Union officials were exchanged on methods of organizing activities suitable to the characteristics of each unit; skills in propaganda, mobilization, and gathering workers to participate in the Trade Union organization; and at the same time improving the ability to proactively deploy tasks at the grassroots level.
The training content focuses on skills to participate in dialogue and negotiation with employers; issues to pay attention to when building, negotiating and signing collective labor agreements; methods of support and advice when union members and workers encounter issues related to legitimate and lawful rights and interests.
In addition to thematic content, speakers and trainees spend time exchanging and handling situations arising from the reality of Trade Union activities. Issues of concern focus on organizing activities at the grassroots level, mobilizing union member development, negotiating with employers and providing legal support for union members and workers.
Through training, grassroots trade union officials consolidate knowledge, supplement practical skills, and gradually improve their proactiveness in performing tasks, especially in representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
