On July 29, the selection Council of the 2025 "Outstanding Enterprise for Workers" Award held an important meeting to review, evaluate and discuss the list of proposed enterprises to be honored. The meeting was chaired by Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Reporting at the meeting, the organizing committee said that this year, 184 enterprises were introduced to participate in the award, of which 100 units submitted complete selection documents.
The criteria for considering and selecting excellent enterprises clearly stipulate 3 groups of contents that enterprises must achieve to be honored: First of all, it is the responsibility towards employees such as ensuring jobs, ensuring the working environment, salary, bonus, social insurance regimes; welfare regimes for employees, and the responsibility to create conditions for trade unions in enterprises to operate smoothly...; secondly, it is the responsibility towards the state through compliance with the law in general, good implementation of local regulations, good implementation of tax obligations, environmental protection, ... and thirdly, it is the responsibility towards society.

According to Mr. Nguyen Khanh Long, Deputy Director of the Department of Employment, Ministry of Home Affairs, the award to honor businesses with many efforts, aiming to care for current workers is very necessary. "In the current context, businesses that can still maintain and have good welfare policies for employees is very commendable. In that spirit, the Ministry of Home Affairs will continue to carefully review the units to select enterprises that fully meet the criteria of this year's award," said Mr. Long.
Meanwhile, Ms. Vi Thi Hong Minh - Deputy Director of the Employer Office, Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) said that VCCI basically agrees with the list of units expected to be honored as stated in the report and will review the businesses as soon as possible to ensure the progress of the awards.
At the meeting, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor highly appreciated the efforts of Lao Dong Newspaper when it worked very urgently, promptly compiling a list of excellent enterprises despite the short time.
"This year, the "Outstanding Enterprise for Workers" Award is an event in a series of activities of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, so it should be held earlier than usual.
However, we do not rush to do it through speakers but must evaluate it accurately so that the honored businesses all meet the criteria as set out. Honoring businesses for workers should still be the priority factor of welfare for workers, fulfilling responsibility to the state and society," Ms. Thai Thu Xuong emphasized.
In addition, at the meeting, the Organizing Committee also reported that a number of enterprises have not met the criteria to be honored for arising welfare problems for employees or violating the regulations in the past 3 years. This shows the seriousness and objectivity of the Council.
The list of enterprises expected to be honored will soon be made public on Lao Dong Newspaper (laodong.vn) to seek public opinions.
The award ceremony is expected to take place on the evening of August 15, 2025. The 2025 "Outstanding Enterprise for Workers" Award will continue to be a prestigious measure to encourage businesses to invest in the human factor - the foundation for sustainable development.
