On July 29, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province organized a dialogue with enterprises in the area to listen to difficulties, problems as well as proposals related to the environment to attract investment.
The conference attracted hundreds of businesses to participate and operate in many different fields such as: rubber processing, agricultural products for export, tourism investment, mineral exploitation, sugarcane processing, livestock farming, renewable energy development, etc.
At the conference, representatives of many businesses requested the Provincial People's Committee to inform the business community about plans, solutions, and roadmaps to remove obstacles and difficulties to continue implementing major projects such as Dak Doa Golf Course, Nam Gia Lai Industrial Park, and Thong Pleiku Hill Eco-Cultural Tourism Area.

The province needs to announce policies, orientations and solutions to exploit the potential and advantages of connecting forests and seas, creating a resonance to bring outstanding economic efficiency to Gia Lai in the coming time.
In recent times, the Gia Lai Young Entrepreneurs Association has played the role of a connecting unit, introducing many investors and businesses inside and outside the province to learn, survey, and promote investment in the area.
However, up to now, some projects connected by the units have not been licensed for implementation or are facing difficulties in administrative procedures, land funds, and investment support mechanisms.
Many other projects are in the process of investment promotion but the progress is still slow due to not being resolved in a timely manner on mechanisms and policies or having difficulty accessing planning information and implementation site.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Sen - Chairwoman of the Gia Lai Provincial Business Association - said that the Mountainous Development Wind Power Plant project has been approved by the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee for investment. The project has a scale of thousands of billions of VND, implemented since 2020, has been completed and accepted by the Department of Industry and Trade since November 2023.
However, due to legal problems, this power project has been "inactive" for many years, causing great damage to businesses. The project has not yet been granted a power operation license by the Ministry of Industry and Trade to sign a power purchase contract with Vietnam Electricity Group.
Ms. Sen suggested that the leaders of Gia Lai province pay attention to directing departments and branches to create more favorable conditions for coordination in removing obstacles, helping investors to soon implement and put the project into operation. Thereby contributing to increasing state budget revenue, creating jobs and income for workers.
Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee - said: "The legitimate problems and recommendations of enterprises will be studied, considered and completely handled by the province; contributing to creating a truly transparent, open, effective and friendly investment - business environment.
Thereby, adding new momentum and new momentum for the sustainable development of the business community of Gia Lai province in the coming time".
The leaders of Gia Lai province hope that, with practical experience, the business community will continue to contribute opinions and give the province breakthrough mechanisms and policies, contributing to promoting growth and improving competitiveness for the entire local economy.
