On December 1, the Trade Union of Can Tho University of Technology and Technology held its 16th Congress for the 2025-2030 term.
During the term, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union advised the School's leaders to well implement the Law on Civil Servants and other legal policies related to civil servants and employees (VC-NLD). The unit also organized visits and spiritual and material encouragement for union members in difficult circumstances, donations, holidays, etc.
The school's Trade Union has mobilized VC-NLD to participate in activities of gratitude, mutual love, and mutual assistance, contributing to the Golden Heart Fund, the Fund for the Poor, the Fund to support people affected by natural disasters, the Fund to support VC-NLD families in difficult circumstances (28 cases),... with a total amount of nearly 1 billion VND. In addition, the Union also coordinated with the Youth Union to mobilize VC-NLD and students to donate more than 1,000 units of blood.
The work of developing union members of the School has always received attention. Accordingly, the unit has admitted 22 new union members, bringing the total number of union members to 230/238 VC-NLD, reaching a rate of 96.63%. The quality of grassroots trade union activities has been gradually improved; the team of union officials has increasingly gained experience and enthusiasm in their work.
With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", in the new term, the Trade Union of Can Tho University of Technology aims to continue to innovate the content and methods of Trade Union activities to promote the achievements achieved, achieve and exceed the set targets.
The unit will organize patriotic emulation movements in an effective and practical direction, focusing on caring for the material and spiritual life, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of VC-NLD; Improving the quality of the Trade Union staff, actively participating in Party and government building.
The Congress elected 7 comrades to the Executive Committee of the new term Trade Union; elected 1 official delegate and 1 alternate delegate to attend the 1st Congress of the Can Tho City Trade Union, term 2025-2030. Ms. Luu Thu Thuy was re-elected as Chairwoman of the Truong Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term.
